Wikipedia remains one of the most visited websites in the entire world. It is truly “The Free Encyclopedia That Anyone Can Edit.” It was officially launched on January 15, 2001 in English only, yet ended the year with over 20,000 articles as well as 18 different language editions. However, not much has changed in terms of design, and Germany-based designer George Kvasnikov has addressed this issue with his Wikipedia design concept to enhance user experience.

Kvasnikov and his team believe that a grid pattern would improve website navigation, with a new font to increase readability. Articles are now pieces of paper that are easier to organize and sort between reads.

Integration is a key point in the redesign of the Wikipedia page. An integrated text editor would allow for people to write papers on the browser itself, save papers via cloud storage, and would create a bibliography in your paper automatically.

In addition, the mobile version of Wikipedia will follow the same changes as its desktop counterpart.

Kvasnikov’s Wikipedia redesign concept serves in the interest of its millions of users, with an emphasis on modernization and user experience. Wikipedia’s current website is almost primitive in today’s web design standards and in need of a serious facelift.
